UK operator’s seismic data library brought up to date

Overview

The Challenge

In early 2022 Moveout completed the audit and overhaul of the entire UK seismic data library of Neptune Energy, which contained over 700,00 data files.

Results

What we did

We conditioned, restructured, organised and transcribed over 70 Neptune surveys, from over 1,500 vintage tapes and USB drives. Utilising our proprietary MetasesisTM software, this task took just six weeks and generated 28 modern 3592 data cartridges over a period of four months. Redundant physical media was securely destroyed.
